Why are some churches spreading hate instead of love???

Hola. Usually with this newsletter I share an angel number I experienced (sorry I’ve been gone for a while), but tonight I wanted to go over something unsettling I witnessed last week.
I’m spiritual but not religious. I often roll my eyes when I hear a pastor say “you’ll go to hell for watching The Hunger Games,” or “you’ll go to hell for not giving the church money.” I don’t attend church in-person, but some Sundays I watch a local church’s YouTube channel for service.
Never again. Last Sunday I didn’t last 10 minutes before I was visibly shaky, disturbed, and had to turn off the video. The pastor was literally yelling at the top of his lungs of harsh words directed toward the LGBTQ community with the audience cheering him on. Incorrect stereotypes I might add.
Why does some churches spread hate instead of love? People harp on gayness being a sin but conveniently leave out the bible also stating living together unmarried, yelling at your parents (disrespecting them), getting a divorce then dating/remarrying again, envy, jealousy, lust, working on Sundays, admiring idols are also sins. How come people consider these insignificant for our time but go hard for hating gays?
God and Jesus were NEVER about hate. Whatever happened to treat people with kindness?
Some people say I’m an awful woman because I don’t want kids and don’t want to get married. Why should I care about their opinions? I’m part of the LGBTQ community, and I’m damn proud of it. God made me attracted to men and women but ultimately an asexual for a reason. It’s no one’s business how many sexual partners I’ve had. It’s no one’s business who I have crushes on. Just like it’s none of my business anyone else’s personal matters.
I love me and no one will change that. NO ONE.
Keep smiling,

Very well said Yawatta.
