I Have A Challenge For You. Will You Take It On?
The challenge is nothing time consuming. I promise you.

Besides this spiritual newsletter, I also have a YouTube channel. Not too long ago, I posted a video on how to discover your first angel number:
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="
frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>
If you don’t want to watch the video (no hard feelings haha), the gist of everything is you can discover your first angel number by looking at the time on your clock, watch, or phone. The time that you see is what you were meant to see. Everything happens for a reason.
So…I took the challenge to show you how it works.
Tonight, I looked at the time on my phone and it said 8:54 pm. I googled “angel number 854” and this is what I found:
“Your angels have noticed the hard times you are going through. By sending this angelic sign your way, your divine guides want to help you improve your life situation. This starts with you having to make positive choices in life. Some of the choices you’ve made in the past have not been very good. They have let you down in many ways. They have led you down a path that you find unfortunate, discouraging, and undesirable. Angel Number 854 assures you that all’s not lost.”—The Secret of the Tarot
This definitely applies to me. I’ve stayed at the job I hate for far too long, which has caused me to feel stuck and hopeless. There’s been so many vacations I wanted to plan but fear got in the way. It’s not safe for a woman to travel alone. I live paycheck by paycheck; I can’t afford to spend out of my budget. What if an emergency happens? I can see where the angels are coming from with this statement. I should think positive at all times. Things will get better :)
“The divine realm wants you to be more mindful of your decisions. Get to know what’s really good for you. This will motivate you to take the right steps to achieve your goals. To access the benevolence of the divine realm, you should be willing to change your habits. Some of your thinking patterns have been overtaken by time.
This means that you need to be more dynamic. By making some changes in your lifestyle, you will alter your life path. You will be inspired to engage in activities that enhance your growth as a person. The angels will conduct you through a period of transition. During this time, you will experience both happy and painful experiences. But, you don’t have to worry. Everything will be all right in the end. Remember, everything you go through has some significance in your life.”—The Secret of the Tarot
I am happy to say I’ve been learning to be more spontaneous. To try something new without weighing all the pros and cons first. That’s a huge step for me! I’ve found things I love to do, things I would’ve never found the confidence to even attempt in my past. The second I was asked to host comic events in my art group, I said heck yeah! I’m being more social by finding online groups through MeetUp and actually talking haha. In my past, I always faded in the background not wanting to be noticed. I just wanted to observe then jump in when I was ready, which could sometimes take up to weeks or months.
I can feel myself being happy about progresses I’ve made but also feeling hurt. I’m proud of myself for creating this newsletter and starting my own art business. I keep seeing angel numbers telling me to begin my lightwork mission of inspiring and motivating others to pursue their dreams. I’m doing my best, but I feel like I’m failing. I have a low subscriber count with this newsletter, and I can’t seem to get anyone to sign up for my virtual art events.
The old me would have given up and started another project by now. The new me is sticking with this. This is the pain I’m going through right now, but man it’ll be glorious when I can finally find an audience for my spiritual newsletter and Draw With Yawatta art business. Instead of feeling low and powerless, I’m taking steps to improve my marketing skills. I’m in a Path to Purpose course. Emily is like a life coach, who is teaching us confidence and how to get rid of our limiting beliefs. When I saw a fellow classmate post that she’s offering free business coaching, I took her up on her offer. It’s worth a shot to see how I can improve.
Also, since last July I’ve been co-authoring a thriller. It was going to be my next release after Urban Legends. Not too long ago, I got an email stating the other author doesn’t want to continue the project for now. He stated valid reasons, but it still hurt. I could’ve been working on my own novellas, or I could’ve been further along with my graphic novel. Lesson learned. Even though there’s no hard feelings, I’ll be more protective of my time.
I’m not giving up. I’m a fighter now. I know things won’t come easily. I’ll have to work hard for my successes.
“Angel number 854 is a powerful symbol of adventure. You have been working hard over the past few months. You have handled a lot of responsibilities. You have done well both in your personal and professional life. You need to seek some adventure as a means of relaxation. Go out with your loved ones. Take a road trip. Go on safari. Visit some of the exotic places you’ve always dreamt of going to. In other words, take time off your busy schedule. Take time to relax and rejuvenate. You deserve it after all the hard work you’ve put in.”—The Secret of the Tarot
Mind blown! Just before looking at the time and writing this newsletter tonight, I was on the phone with a family member. We were discussing moving to Maryland or Washington DC. That I could look for a job first and catch the Metro back and forth before officially moving.
Plus, I’ve been planning a writing retreat with my two friends who live in Virginia. We want to do it in the spring or summer. The other day I did a meditation and my intuition told me to visit Asheville, NC. For some reason, I keep hearing about Seattle, WA and Toronto, Canada like maybe I’m supposed to visit those places too. If I can’t find anyone who wants to go with me, I’ll need to set fears aside and travel alone.
I could use a vacation. Get on an Amtrak and just go somewhere. Stay in an Airbnb or sleep on a friend’s couch. I’ve been working hard the past couple of months. I’ve been taking my Creativity Mindset and Path to Purpose online courses. I’ve been writing my graphic novel script so I can start thumbnailing soon. Can’t wait to start drawing Unscripted! I’ve been hosting comic events in my art group. I figured out my business plan for Draw With Yawatta then set everything in motion. I figured out my spiritual newsletter topics I wanted to write about and began working on it right away.
Yep, I could definitely use a vacation before April. I’ll be in a new comics course learning how to draw backgrounds. Plus, I’ll be really involved in the drawing process of creating my Unscripted graphic novel. May even have a couple of Patreon pages running up by then.
I know the angels have my back. All I have to do is listen to them.
If you take my challenge, what time did you see on the clock? What’s your first angel number?
Keep smiling,
Yawatta Hosby
