I Got It All Wrong, But That's Okay
I'm pretty adaptable and quick to come up with new strategies to win. Good thing. Otherwise, I think I'd probably be found in a corner, balling my eyes out.

Hola, sorry I haven’t been on here in a while. I appreciate everyone who has read my newsletter. It means the world to me. I hate to admit it, but I was pretty hard on myself with unrealistic expectations. I know my lightwork mission is to inspire and motivate others to follow their dreams, and for me to lead by example. This made me feel like a failure when hardly anyone was reading my spiritual newsletter nor signing up for my art workshops for Draw With Yawatta. I thought—how can I inspire others when I can’t reach anyone?
Thankfully, Angel Number 705 found it’s way to me today! It was a well-needed wakeup call.
“Angel Number 705 suggests that changes currently taking place in your life have been Divinely guided and you are asked to follow your intuition and the guidance from the angels in regards to the next important steps to take. Be open to receiving knowledge from unusual and unexpected sources and stay alert to interesting new experiences, surroundings and people. Be open to fresh revelations, epiphanies, light-bulb moments and intriguing notions and ideas and listen to your intuition.”—Sacred Scribes Joanne Walmsley
Guess what I heard yesterday…someone mentioned that your lightwork mission or the way you deal with connecting with your soul doesn’t have to be about your job title. It’s not about what you do for a living. It’s about who you are, what kind of personality you have. Mind blown!
Now I realize, I don’t have to stress about how many people I reach on social media or how many people I reach through my blog posts. Now I can just relax! I’ve been on the right path all along because of the person I’m becoming, not the jobs I created for myself. I love connecting with other artists. I’m pursuing my lightwork mission whenever I share in my art groups the comics festival I hear about or when I leave a positive comment on someone’s Instagram post. I’m pursuing my lightwork mission whenever I share what a comic diary is and how to create one to whoever asks. I’m pursuing my lightwork mission whenever I draw with my document camera and then hear another artist say they’re buying the same camera too because it’s useful. I’m pursuing my lightwork mission whenever a grandma wants to know how to print off her grandson’s drawing and I lead them to Office Depot.
Now I can breathe. This is very comforting news. As long as I help someone (stranger, acquaintance, friend, and/or family) every day, then I’m doing my lightwork duties.
I’m open to changes in my life. Very open. In fact, today I got rid of the bulky desk and chair that was in my bedroom. They were taking up too much space. My room is the size of a closet. I figured it’s best to get rid of the old so it can be replaced with something new. For the past few days, I’ve seen angel numbers alluding to that concept. I’m excited to see what the “new” thing will be.
What are you excited about?
Keep smiling,
Yawatta Hosby
